i'm daniil (a filmmaker based out of kirkland, wa). born in belarus; raised in seattle, wa. i'm drawn to stories that bridge the gap between the physical reality and the (sometimes hard to express, yet simple) metaphysical experiences and feelings that make up the most monumental moments of life.
my work spans narrative short films, commercial testimonials, music videos, and documentaries. i care about honest frames, natural pacing, and the kind of images that give language to the unsaid.
my favorite movie is la la land. *spoiler alert* why couldn't both dreams just come true?
